Humans and cats can share a lot, those who love them spend much of their time with them, between games, moments of relaxation, everyday life in the round.
They are often in our company even during meals, to implore us with their big eyes to leave some of our food, and we often give in.
But we must be very careful: not everything that is suitable for our body is not for them and indeed can be dangerous!

The milk
Always united in common knowledge as a food of which they are found, in reality, it can cause them disturbance to the digestive system, even diarrhea.
And this also applies to dairy derivatives, such as cheeses.
So the image of the kitten with the milk bowl is at least incorrect and absolutely avoidable for its health.
Raw fish
Those who live in port areas, frequent fish markets or simply have an aquarium in their home know: cats go crazy for fish, they love the taste and as true hunters, they are driven by instinct to hunt them.
And yet raw fish meat slows down the absorption of thiamine, which is a vitamin (B1) that is fundamental for carbohydrate metabolism and neuronal activity. Its deficiency manifests itself in vomiting and inappetence, and if prolonged it causes the death of cats and dogs.
Of occasional portions do not involve anything serious, the important thing is that it does not become a habit.
Canned tuna
It is present in our handouts and often saves the situation. It is fish, ready and comfortable, so even if we did not have the food dedicated to our four-legged friend it may be useful. And yet they should be given very sparingly.
Tuna, in fact, contains mercury, which is toxic and in the long run can damage our friend’s nervous system. There are also high amounts of sodium, which is also harmful to your health.
The same applies to raw fish: one-off meals with canned tuna do not cause damage, as long as they do not fit into the normal diet.
The sweets
Let’s start with an assumption: the cat’s taste buds do not recognize the sweet taste of food. So when it feeds on it, it does not do it for taste but because it is attracted to the fat element of sweet foods or just curiosity.
It also fails to assimilate the sugars present in carbohydrates, from which it follows that they too are given with the dropper.
His diet over the course of centuries of evolution has increasingly emerged as a carnivore, and his body has therefore set itself accordingly.
Desserts are primarily banned for this animal, the risks are represented by obesity and diabetes.
Dog food
It can happen, if dog and cat share the same house or the same external environments, that driven by curiosity our cat goes to eat from the Fido bowl.
It is not a food suitable for him, for different doses of nutrients, it contains.
Vitamins, proteins and other constituents of a correct diet for the dog do not fall in the same quantities in a cat’s adequate diet, and vice versa.
It is good to try to prevent and control the situation, although (especially outside) it is not always easy to keep watch over the actions of our feline friends at all times.
However, the best food for the dog (opportunistic carnivore) and especially for the cat (narrow carnivore) is the fresh one based on raw meat, the so-called BARF food.
